The Importance of Community Belonging to Health
October 19 - 23, 2015

The Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre will celebrate the week with a focus on “the importance of Community belonging to Health”. According to research, a sense of belonging appears to be a basic human need –as basic as food and shelter. In fact, social support may be one of the critical elements distinguishing those who remain healthy from those who become ill. We invite everyone to come to the centre on one of the days from October 19- October 23 and provide your view on the importance of “Community belonging.” to health. It takes only 10 minutes to answer five (5) questions. Your ideas will be used for improving KDCHC’s efforts in making clients, program participants and volunteers feel connected and accepted in the centre and the community at large and for future group or program development focused on community belonging. Refreshment provided. You have a chance to win a free raffle prize. If you cannot come to KDCHC that week, please go to our website www.kdchc.org and answer a few questions electronically.
